Dive right in - learn to scuba dive and get your PADI

If you want to jump right in and learn to scuba dive, the full PADI Open Water Diver course is for you.

As a qualified PADI Open Water Diver you'll be able to dive independently to a depth of 18 metres with a buddy who is also a qualified diver. That's a great reason to grab a friend to join you on your underwater journey, but don't worry if you are learning on your own, we have a club that you can join to meet and arrange dives with other qualified divers.

The Open Water Diver course teaches you all the skills to you need to do to stay safe and comfortable underwater.  You'll learn about scuba diving equipment and how to use it, practice skills that will improve your safety and learn about our amazing underwater world and how it works.

You'll start your course with PADI eLearning which is included within the price of the full course, this typically takes 7-8 hours to complete and should be completed before you start your pool training.

You'll then join us at Dive Academy at Lufton in Yeovil to complete five pool lessons. You can complete these in one day, over two part days or two evenings, or even one a week. A member of our team will contact you after you book your course to arrange pool lessons to suit your schedule.

Finally, you'll complete your qualifying open water dives on the dates you choose below. You'll plan four dives with your instructor over two days and then complete those dives including using some of the skills you learned in your pool training.
