Discover Scuba / Open Water Diver lesson 1

The PADI Discover Scuba experience offers the perfect introduction to the underwater world. Dive Academy offers this fun taster session in the comfort of our on-site heated pool. This experience is suitable for anyone who wants to find out how it feels to breathe underwater for the first time and discover the fun of weightlessness.

This session also serves as the first lesson of the Open Water Diver course, so if you want to give diving a try and find you like it, you can move on to lessons 2, 3, 4 and 5 at your own pace.

Your instructor will cover all the theory you need to know for this session. You'll also learn about and try on equipment followed by an hour in the pool to get comfortable under the water and learn some basic skills.

You will need a swimsuit or swimming shorts, a t-shirt you don't mind getting wet, and a towel to take part.
