The lure of the deep. There’s something exciting and mysterious about exploring deeper dive sites while scuba diving. There are lots of great wrecks and dive sites off the Dorset coast, but some of them are that little bit deeper. We can help you scuba dive with confidence at depths down to 40 metres with the PADI Deep Diver speciality course. We begin by reviewing reasons for deep diving and how important it is to know your personal limits. During four dives with your Instructor you’ll cover: - Specialised deep diving equipment - Deep dive planning, buddy contact procedures and buoyancy control - Managing your gas supply, dealing with gas narcosis and safety considerations - Emergency procedures and use of redundant gas supply You’ve opened up an exciting underwater world by becoming a scuba diver – now take the next step to discover more than ever before. You'll require your own compass and dive light for this course and you may also find a slate helpful. Kit hire is not included in the cost of the course. Dive Academy members receive free kit hire when participating in our courses. Speak to a member of the team about membership. The Deep Diver course is suitable for PADI Adventure Divers (or equivalent), aged 15 and over.
