PADI Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox)
The most popular PADI speciality course.
All the details:
If staying down longer and getting back in the water sooner sounds appealing, then don't hesitate to become a PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) diver. You’ll learn why diving with air that has higher oxygen and lower nitrogen content gives you more bottom time, along with enriched air equipment considerations. You'll complete eLearning before attending a practical session at Dive Academy where you'll: - Discuss managing oxygen exposure - Practice analysing oxygen content in your scuba cylinder - Set your dive computer for diving with enriched air nitrox - Be introduced to Dive Academy's gas blending and oxygen cleaning procedures - giving a deeper understanding of how the theory works in everyday diving This is a half-day course based at Dive Academy and you must be at least 12 years and a PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent) to participate. You will find this course more useful if you have your own dive computer as part of the course involves learning how to set your computer for diving with different mixes of enriched air.
