All the details:

One of the joys of diving is acquiring lots of new shiny equipment, but how many of us really know much about how to properly maintain and manage basic repairs of our kit? How many dives have been missed due to simple problems? Whether it's a missing o-ring, wetsuit tear or a broken fin strap, the PADI Equipment Specialist course teaches you to manage basic repairs and adjustments. You’ll learn about routine care and maintenance procedures as well as scuba equipment storage recommendations. Your instructor will show you how to overcome common equipment problems and offer equipment configuration suggestions. Topics covered include: - How to avoid damaging kit in storage - BCD, drysuit and regulator maintenance - The importance of regular servicing and what we do when we service equipment - Cylinder servicing and filling. We encourage students to bring along their own kit for personalised tips. This is a great course for divers who would like a bit of extra support in ensuring that they are properly caring for, and prolonging the life of, their scuba equipment. Please note that successful completion of this course will not qualify students as service technicians and that all equipment should be maintained and serviced in accordance with manufacturers' instructions. This course is suitable for PADI Scuba Divers (or entry-level equivalent) aged 10 years and older.
