Covid-19 policy

The safety and well-being of Dive Academy customers, students and staff is our main priority. We have developed a number of policies in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. We monitor and base our policies on the most up-to-date UK Government guidance.

Staff and customers are asked not to come into Dive Academy premises or attend dives if they or any members of their household are displaying any systems of Covid-19, have tested positive for Covid-19 in the previous two-week period or are awaiting test results.

Face Coverings

All staff and customers are required to wear face coverings while in store with exceptions for children aged under 11 and those with medical exemptions. Customers of Café Manatee at our Lufton store are not required to wear face masks when sitting down to consume food or drink.

Disposable face masks are available to buy from both our Lufton and Quedam stores, our Quedam store also has a full range of reusable face masks available for purchase.

When at dive sites we require students and staff to wear face coverings during briefings and kitting up if it is not possible to maintain social distancing.

Social Distancing

Numbers in-store at any one time will be limited to ensure social distancing is possible. We ask that all staff, customers and visitors allow others space while in-store.

Hygiene Measures

Multiple hand sanitising stations for staff and customers have been set-up in both Dive Academy stores. Perspex screens have been erected at tills and extra cleaning is taking place.

Diving

Covid-19 protocols have been put in place for all diving operations and have been incorporated into our risk assessments. Students/divers should follow the direction of their instructor/Dive Academy staff.
